“My new favourite watch.”
My new favourite watch! Would give it 10 stars if I could. Absolutely beautiful seeing the movement inside and it feels like it's worth $10K honestly!
About Hartley
Hartley was founded in Australia in 2014 with a simple idea: a beautifully made watch should not cost a fortune. More than 10,000 watches later, that idea has grown into numbered limited editions, built to be worn every day and passed down.
From the founder
I have always loved watches, but I was frustrated by how hard it was to find one that was genuinely well made without a luxury price tag. So in 2014 I set out to build my own.
Every Hartley is assembled from premium components: 316L stainless steel, sapphire crystal and precise Japanese movements. Every one is inspected and tested by hand before it leaves us.
Today we only release limited, numbered editions. When one sells out, it is gone for good. That is what makes owning one mean something.

Made to be passed down
A good watch should outlive the person who first buys it. So we go to extreme lengths to use the very highest quality materials we can find: 316L stainless steel, sapphire crystal on the front and the back, and a Japanese Miyota automatic movement that winds itself as you wear it.
Our goal is simple. We do not want to make watches that last one lifetime. We want to make watches that are worn by you, then by your children, and then by theirs.
Our team
Behind every Hartley is a small team of people who genuinely love watches. We talk movements over coffee, argue about strap pairings, and check every piece by hand before it ships.
When you email us, you speak to one of us, and we reply within 12 hours.
What we stand for
316L stainless steel, sapphire crystal and precise Japanese movements, with leather sourced from top quality Italian suppliers. Every watch is inspected and tested by hand before it leaves us, using a best practice process that draws on Swiss, German and ISO standards.
Our watches are released as numbered limited editions. Each Legacy colour is limited to 125 pieces in total, across every strap option. When an edition sells out, it is gone for good and will never be made again. See every retired piece in the Archive.
Every Hartley watch carries a 5 year warranty and 30 day returns, backed by a small team that knows every watch we make.

In a digital world it is nice having something that is purely mechanical.

The comfortable fit and minimal styling have made it one of the easiest watches in my collection to reach for.
